A Fundoo Professor Called Sanjay Bakshi

In my preparation for the upcoming interview of Prof. Sanjay Bakshi (this Sunday), I was reading through a few of his past articles and lectures, when a thought struck my mind.

A lot of Safal Niveshak tribesmen still do not know much about Prof. Bakshi and his vast investment insights, except for his interview that I carried in 2012.

As such, I have created a special page on the website dedicated to Prof (after due permission from him), who is one of the best minds in India in the fields of Value Investing and Behavioral Finance.

This page is a collection of my best picks from among his vast writings that are available on his blog as well.

Start by reading about Prof. Bakshi’s life story. Then read through some of his best posts (as per me) I have listed on the page.

I’m sure you will benefit a lot from them in your efforts of becoming a sensible, long-term investor.

Reading Prof. Bakshi has been an important step in my work-in-progress of becoming what Charlie Munger calls a ‘learning machine’. I’m sure it won’t be any different for you.

P.S. This page has been created after due permission from Prof. Bakshi.

    Vishal,

I had read Prof. Bakshi’s articles on his blog previously and each one of them is a gem and an example in how to go about analyzing a company, how to think about different things that truly matter in the valuation of a company etc but I was not aware of Prof. Bakshi’s life story. It is indeed inspiring and motivating and gives small investors like me an Indian role model whom I can look up to and learn from.

Thanks for bringing this part to our notice besides the articles on the Fundoo professor blog. Eagerly awaiting your upcoming interview with Professor Bakshi!!

I am great fan of Mr. Bakshi. He is a brilliant and generous professor. Coming across his blog has changed my life. I remember reading Vantage point(VST Industries analysis) presentation and wondering at the sheer magic. It was the best presentation on investing i have ever read. I could see the light.

Everytime i read his articles, I marvel at his brilliance and ability to cut through the noise, he amazes me endlessly with his clarity of though process. I can see the passion of a craftsman in his presentations. Thank you so much sir for becoming our guiding light.

I hope to meet my role model some day in person. But before that i want to be worthy disciple by absorbing his teachings.

Thanks a lot Vishal for sir’s interview . Like everyone i am eagerly waiting for the upcoming interview.
